Last Week: Thank God that Doro led a very edifying lesson about Shiloh (Silo auf Deutsch), which not only having helped us by a little game to get familir with the chnaracters and histories happening in Shiloh (now we even know how many daughters Hannah has ;) ), but also taught us that:
1) for Hannah, Shiloh was once somewhere made her painful and shame. But her sorrow eveantually were transformed into joy and glory at this bitter place, because she has
spoke in heart before God here.
2) for Samuel, Shiloh was supposedly the most holy place (because God’s Ark and priests were there), but he saw the most sinnful things committed by the priests. However, it didn’t infect Samuel’s faith and purity. Living in God’s house, we may look upon God alone and persuit to knowing and being Known by the Lord.
3) for Israelite, Shiloh was somewhere like a warning because the Lord’s glory had once left and God let His house be profaned by the Philistines. When we go astray, if we keep unwilling to return to God, God will also let us be captured and defiled. It’s also a warning for us.

Bible verses for thinking:
You shall not worship the Lord your God with such things. But you shall seek the place where the Lord you God chooses out of all your tribes, to put His name for His dwelling place; and there you shall go. (Deut.12. 4-5)
What are ‘such things’? Instead, what kind of things and manners should we adopt to worship God? Take a look at the following verses:
You shall not at all do as we are doing here today – every man doing whatever is right in his own eye. (Deut.12.8)
Not only worshiping in Spirit, but also in Truth, which has been given through the Bible. Only take the manners and the purposes God pleases can our worships and praises please our Lord.
May God teach us to have His heart as our one heart, and to take His purpose as our common purpose.
